I researched for the topic Srebrenica once, because of a presentation of our special history course.
But in normal history lessons we did not hear about the massacre. I decided to participate in this
project, because I wanted to learn more about Srebrenica and to meet people who have the same
interests and who are more familiar with the topic, because it is there history. But I think it is our
history a little bit, too, because it is a European conflict, that some people say it never happen.

What I feel when we saw the documentary about the relatives of the victims, who still live. Some
of them looked like a body without a lively soul, they were helpless, they were disadvantaged to
even survive the massacre, because now they are alone, without family. One quote of a women
summarized it very well unfortunately: “After I survived the rape, I lost the trust in the whole
